Russia has retaliated against the United States for hitting Russians with blacklists based on violations of human rights allegations, with credible claims by Russia that the United States is responsible for much more serious human rights violations on a consistent basis for a long time. Stepan Kravchenko has reported today, Jan. 18, 2013, for Bloomberg, Russia Responds to U.S. Blacklist With ‘Guantanamo List.' Russian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Ryabkov has said dozens of U.S. citizens are now barred from entering Russia under the “Guantanamo list,” which is a retaliatory measure for U.S. sanctions on Russian officials suspected of involvement in the death of an anti-corruption lawyer.
Ryabkov said today, “We made a decision to get the usual list wider, and called it "The Guantanamo list" for convenience.” Last month the U.S. Congress imposed a visa ban and asset freeze on Russian officials who were allegedly linked to the death of lawyer Sergei Magnitsky and other human-rights abuses. Lawmakers in Moscow retaliated by banning U.S. adoptions of Russian children in a bill that Putin signed into law on Dec. 28, 2012.
Now, about 71 U.S. nationals are now barred from entering Russia, Sergei Pushkov, a senior Russian lawmaker, said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper published today.
He said, a former head of the U.S. military detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, was denied entry, and U.S citizens accused of kidnapping Russian nationals and committing crimes against Russian children are on the blacklist, as well as Guantanamo managers.
Sergei L. Loiko has also reported on this story for The Los Angeles Times, Russians draft 'Guantanamo list' to sanction U.S. officials. Russian officials have confirmed Russia has prepared the “Guantanamo list”of U.S. officials who will be denied entry visas. Alexei Pushkov, chairman of the Russian foreign relations committee in the lower house of parliament, has said, among U.S. officials who were added to the list were “judges, investigators, justice ministry officials and special services agents who were involved in Russian citizens Viktor Bout’s and Konstantin Yaroshenko’s legal prosecution and sentencing to long terms of imprisonment.”
Pushkov has gone on to say that the list included members of Congress and American citizens who allegedly have been guilty of the maltreatment and death of Russian orphans they adopted, as well as “judges who passed wrong rulings on those cases and psychiatrists who asserted that those children had inborn defects and serious development deviations which caused their deaths.”
It appears Moscow has very good intelligence sources, because the human rights violations alleged to be occurring in every sector of the American society are in fact happening 24 hours a day. The United States has become the leading human rights abuser nation in world history with as the Russians have alleged American lawmakers, judges, and psychiatrists among the most brutal hypocritical tyrants imaginable on this planet.
