I tell you what. During a recession things get very competitive around the world . I can't help but notice that Russia has really increased its diplomatic initiatives as of late. I don't believe they have ever been that good at diplomacy. So it's interesting to see them jumping all around the globe. They are really trying to cut some deals and reaffirm others. I guess they waited until Obama finished his world tour. They have an interesting style which they haven't perfected yet. It seems real cold and cut throat. Even though the politicians are always over dressed. These are some of the articles I read.

Ahmajinedad's recent statements to the United Nations was his way of getting "back in the swing of the things". The U.S. has the most powerful media infrastructure in the world. Israel is better at the moment at playing up to it. They seem to be better at knowing what American's think. Israel is very good at piping every outlandish statement made by Middle East leaders straight to the U.S.. The average American doesn't look too deep below the surface when they hear this stuff.
If Americans always hear Ehud Barak say Iran is looking to make a nuclear bomb. While Ahmajinedad sort of plays coy and remains ambiguous on the subject. Which is probably because of Israel's non-disclosure on nuclear weapons.
Israel will look a little better because MA does not have the "image" built up in the U.S. media to play that card. Israel has been bombarding his image for at least two years now. They have used the "blow Israel off the map line very nicely".
Foreign Policy 101: It's rather suspicious that the Soviet Union drops a nuclear reactor on Iran without much foreign policy advice to speak of. Whatever they do tell them is probably low-level stuff. I guess they were more interested in selling some guns in the Middle East.
These nuclear reactors do come with a pocket sized foreign policy manual. At the top of all of them it says. Don't say "you'll blow another country off the map".
Now Russia has put word out that they are trying to get some of the sanctions on Iran lifted behind the scenes. With friends like Russia who needs enemies.
