Sports media outlets descended upon MetLife Stadium to interview the challengers in Super Bowl XLVIII (48). When the cameras weren't honed in on Richard Sherman, Peyton Manning or the terribly enigmatic Marshawn Lynch, Russell Wilson was at the podium fielding questions from international reporters covering the National Football League's world championship game.

One question arose in particular and Russell Wilson's answer was quite surprising to some, only because it was their first time hearing the answer. Wilson is a born again believer and it is woven into the fabric of all he does. As quarterback of the Winsconsin Badgers, he made a rather shocking confession. He sings a Yolanda Adams song in the tunnel and on the field! Wilson again shared his faith and fondness of the gospel song this week talking to the various media outlets covering Super Bowl XLVIII.

What's up with Russell Wilson's hair?

My favorite song that I listen to as I’m going out to the game is a gospel song by Yolanda Adams called "I’m Gonna Be Ready" -Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

Wilson has successfully led the Seattle Seahawks to Super Bowl XLVII and will be tuning up this afternoon as his Seahawks take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

"...Nothing can stop what God has for you..." -Russell Wilson on the Yolanda Adams Morning Show

"I'm Gonna Be Ready" is featured on Adams' 2001 release on Elektra Records entitled "Believe".

Sight beyond what I see
You know what's best for me.
Prepare my mind, prepare my heart
For whatever comes, I'm gonna be ready.

Strength to pass any test
I feel like I'm so blessed!
With you in control, I can't go wrong
'Cause I always know, I'm gonna be ready. -Yolanda Adams, "I'm Gonna be Ready"

Wilson is going to have to be as 'ready' as he's ever been as he plays the biggest game of his life today at Super Bowl XLVIII.
