Hip-hop mogel Russell Simmons was in Cleveland Thursday to promote his new jewelery line at Kay Jewelers.
Simmons appeared at Kay Jewelers in Mentor Mall, a suburb of Cleveland, from 5 PM – 7 PM to sign autographs and meet with fans as he promoted his new jewelery line which features unique metal, diamond, and other precious stone combinations for men and women. Those who arrived early received destinctive designer dog tags from the Simmons line. One fan also won a diamond pendant necklace.
The jewelery line is currently available online for purchase. Bringing the pieces to Kay Jewelers gave shoppers the chance to interact with the pieces as well as meet Simmons.
Simmons first gained notoriety in the 80’s as co-founder of Def Jam Records. He later transferred his entrepreneur talents into a multi-million dollar clothing line named Phat Farm in the 90’s. Other sucessful business ventrures throughout the years in media and retail has made Simmons a respected businessman. His latest buisness venture in jewelery seems poised to be a success as well.
