Last month we brought you the news that singer Katy Perry had unfollowed her estranged comedian/actor husband, Russell Brand, on Twitter. Awkwardly, Brand had not reciprocated the digital diss and kept following his ex. However, a January 20th article in Jezebel noted that, “Brand hasn’t tweeted since January 5th; so maybe he hasn’t reciprocated because he hasn’t yet noticed the one missing follower among 3.9 million?”
Well, after almost a month sans tweet, Russell Brand @rustyrockets is allowing his voice/hashtag/bitly to be heard! Spoiler alert: It’s really not that interesting.
On February 3rd, @rustyrockets tweeted that “Monday night in LA I will be comedically describing the world. Come” and included a bitly with information on his now-sold-out show on The Comedy Central Stage at Hudson Theatre.
On a more cryptic note, Brand tweeted yesterday “They say ignorance is bliss but how would they know?”
Just an hour ago Russell Brand hammered out two more tweets, one labeling Einstein as a twerp and the other slighting America’s version of football. “Super Bowl? Football? West Ham beat Millwall yesterday by kicking a ball with their feet. We must review our priorities,” Brand tweeted.
For those of you wondering, Brand still has yet to unfollow Katy Perry. The awkwardness rages on!
