Russell Brand performed live in a benefit performance for The David Lynch Foundation last night at The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, California. The sold out event was open to all ages and raised much needed funds for transcendental meditation. Russell Brand did a stand-up comedy routine which kept the crowd in stitches until it hurt to laugh.
Russell Brand feels strongly about transcendental meditation. He credits it for helping him stay clean and sober while finding true happiness. Russell Brand hopes to share his love for transcendental meditation and spread the word about its’ benefits and by raising money for the cause.
The David Lynch Foundation not only helps those who have severe addictions, the charity organization, which is a favorite among celebrities, is also helping military personnel as they return home from their tour of duty.
Last night’s sold out event included a VIP reception which followed Russell Brand’s stand-up comedy routine. Guests had the chance to meet the celebrity while enjoying premium food and wine provided by McCall’s catering.
