Rush set to receive Hall of Fame induction from Foo Fighters

Rush will receive their induction into Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April from members of The Foo Fighters.

According to a news release published today RockHall.com, the legendary Canuck power trio will receive the long overdue honour from Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Other special guest guests announced include: Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson, who will perform in honor of Donna Summer, Eagles frontman Don Henley, who will induct Randy Newman, as well as John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr, who will perform in honor of Albert King.

Rush, who announced their first string of Canadian and U.S. 2013 “Clockwork Angels” tour dates yesterday, has confirmed that they will appear at the induction ceremony, which will take place in Los Angeles on April 18 in Los Angeles at Nokia Theater.

Tickets go on sale Feb. 1 at Ticketmaster with seats ranging in price from $75 to $750.
