Rush release of ‘Counterparts’ Super Audio CD delayed

Rush fans eager to purchase the forthcoming SACD (Super Audio CD) version of the legendary Canuck power trio’s 1993 album “Counterparts” will have to hold their breath for a while longer.

According to an article posted yesterday at Hennemusic.com, the release date for Audio Fidelity's Super Audio CD (SACD) version of the prog rockers classic fifteenth studio album has been held up for a few more weeks.

The CD is now listed at Amazon with a release date of Tuesday, Feb. 19 rather than January 22 but is now available for pre-order.

Peaking at No. 2 on Billboard, the album was the Toronto, ON native’s highest-charting album in the U.S., helped by the singles “Stick It Out,” “Nobody’s Hero,” “Double Agent” and “Cold Fire.”
