Rush Limbaugh suggests tsunami hit Japan because they make electric cars (Video)

Today Rush Limbaugh suggested that God himself might be playing a joke on Japan by hitting them with an earthquake and tsunami.  In the audio clip to the left Limbaugh finds it amusing that Japan was allegedly struck by "Mother Earth" even though the country adopts many environmentally friendly policies. Limbaugh continually plays a clip from a refugee shelter in Japan which happens to also be a recycling center, and notes the alleged irony saying, "Even now, refugees are still recycling, and yet Gaia levels them!  Just wipes them out!...What kind of payback is this?"  Limbaugh then notes that the tsunami hit in the exact place where electric and hybrid cars like the Prius are made,

"In fact where Gaia [an earth God in Greek mythology] blew up is right where they make those electric cars...It's like Gaia hit the Prius and [inaudible].  It's like they're in the crosshairs.  We can use that word.  What is Gaia trying to tell us here?  What is the mother of environmentalist trying to tell us here?"

Yesterday Glenn Beck was the first commentator to suggest that God was somehow sending a message to the people of Japan through the earthquake and subsequent.  Beck said he did not know whether God caused the disaster, but did say that he was sure that the earthquake was a "message from God" that humanity was headed in the wrong direction.  Today Limbaugh seemed to expand on that concept, suggesting that God hates recycling and electric cars.  Limbaugh has never hid his disdain for all things environmentally concsious, including fuel efficient cars like the Prius and Chevy volt, and today's message certainly reflected on that attitude.
