Conservative talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh is now "resting comfortably" in hospital after suffering chest pains while on vacation in Hawaii.
According to a message at RushLimbaugh.com posted early this morning:
"Rush was admitted to a Honolulu hospital today and is resting comfortably after suffering chest pains. Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes. He will keep you updated via RushLimbaugh.com and on Thursday's radio program."
Other conservative pundits were quick to offer their best wishes to Rush Limbaugh for a full recovery. Fellow radio show host Bill Bennett wrote at The Corner:
"I started the show today asking for prayers and good thoughts for my friend Rush Limbaugh. Rush is the lead dog in this enterprise we call talk radio. He showed the way, he still shows the way. And every talk-show host, left or right, in candor, must admit indebtedness to his pioneering this communication form. As has been said and sung of James Bond: 'Nobody does it better.' We could do a whole show on Rush's importance—and hopefully, prayerfully, we will not do that show for many, many, many years. Get well friend."
Frequent substitute host Mark Steyn posted the following on his website this morning:
"As many of you will know, Rush Limbaugh, a good friend to this site and a man who's been enormously kind and generous to me, was admitted to hospital in Hawaii yesterday afternoon local time. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He's been the indispensable man these last 20 years, and we need him back at the golden EIB microphone and fighting fit for the next 20."
