Right-side radio host Rush Limbaugh is "resting comfortably" in a Honolulu hospital after suffering chest pains.

Limbaugh, whose radio talk show is heard on over 600 radio stations, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center hospital after paramedics responded to a 2:41 p.m. call at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

According to the Honolulu-based television station KITV, Limbaugh was sitting in a chair in his ninth-floor hotel room when emergency crews arrived and told them he was taking meds for a constant back problem.

Limbaugh's station issued the following statement in regards to his health: “Rush was admitted to and is resting comfortably in a Honolulu hospital today after suffering chest pains. Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes and will keep you updated via rushlimbaugh.com and on his radio program.”
