Rush Limbaugh: Obama invited Sgt. Cory Remsburg to SOTU to attack and blame Bush

One of the highlights of President Obama's State of the Union address was when he pointed out Sergeant First Class Cory Remsburg who was sitting next to First Lady Michele Obama. While everyone cheered on the injured veteran, not everyone was pleased that President Obama invited him.

One part of President Obama's speech was about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan coming to an end and how he wouldn't send any more troops to battle unless it was absolutely necessary. During a recent broadcast of his radio show, Rush Limbaugh claimed that President Obama invited Cory Rensburg to the State of the Union as a way to attack and blame former president George W. Bush.

Rush Limbaugh: I'll tell you what it was. I think Ranger Remsburg was there to send a message. The message was, look what my predecessor did to this country. Look what George Bush is responsible for. Look at all the horror that IO have to clean up. And look at the struggle we're all in. Still trying to fix the mess.

President Obama spoke about meeting Cory Remsburg prior to his injuries ot Omaha Beach on the 65th anniversary of D-Day. Cory took President Obama through the program and spoke with him often throughout the day. Only months after meeting the president, Cory was injured and almost killed by a roadside bomb during his 10th deployment in Afghanistan. President Obama and Cory Remsburg kept in touch since the accident and formed a bond that only they known how strong it is. While Rush Limbaugh and others in the right-wing media continue to blast President Obama for anything he does, thankfully most Americans saw bast the theme that Limbaugh is promoting and could tell a good heartfelt story when they see one.
