Rush Limbaugh is reportedly "resting comfortably" in a Honolulu hospital after experiencing chest pains on Wednesday afternoon.

 

 

Rush Limbaugh's hospitalization and the extreme security measures taken to keep his condition secret from the press had some Howard Stern Show fans convinced that Rush Limbaugh was about to become a victim of the Howard Stern Show vacation death curse.  Actress Brittany Murphy was the first celebrity to fall victim to the curse during this extended Howard Stern Show holiday break.  Other Howard Stern Show vacation death curse victims for this "season" have included Sesame's Street's Alaina Reed and character actor Arnold Stang.

This summer, a slew of celebrity deaths including Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Senator Ted Kennedy all went down while the Howard Stern Show was on hiatus.

Adding Rush Limbaugh to the list of Howard Stern Show vacation death curse victims would have solidified the validity of what started as Howard Stern Show fan urban legend, which postulates that deaths of celebrities who have relevance to the Howard Stern Show always seem to keel when the King of All Media is off air, leaving fans ripping their hair out waiting for Stern's commentary.  Adding rival radio host Rush Limbaugh to the list might have pushed Howard Stern Show fans, who are already tweaking out with anticipation of whether or not Artie Lange will return to the show, over the edge.

"Rush was admitted to a Honolulu hospital Wednesday and is resting comfortably after suffering chest pains. Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes. He'll keep you updated via the website. Friday's show will be a  Best of Rush."
 

 

Howard Stern said frequently refers to Rush Limbaugh as having a "fat head" and also named Rush Limbaugh one of the "Top Ten A-Holes of 2004".
