Rush Limbaugh ashamed of his country: Michelle Obama might know how he feels

Rush Limbaugh is "ashamed" of his country "for the first time in his life," or at least that is what he said this week, according to the Huffington Post on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013. Limbaugh is not the first notable name to reference being ashamed of the country, Michelle Obama alluded to being ashamed too until 2008, when she said "this is the first time in her adult life that she's proud of the country," according to an article from 2008 on the website WizBang.

Why is Limbaugh ashamed of his country? The word “sequestration” which is saturated in the media today has something to do with Limbaugh’s frame of mind. Limbaugh is not buying the claims from President Obama and the Democrats who say the “so-called budget sequestration” could do “serious danger do the economy” if Congress doesn’t come up with a deal before March.

Limbaugh said on his radio show Thursday, “to have our common sense and intelligence insulted the way it's being, it just makes me ashamed."

His words turned into a rant about what the President, Democrats and the media are feeding the American public. Limbaugh continued with:

"Here they come -- sucking us in, roping us in, panic here, fear there, crisis, destruction, no meat inspection, no cops, no teachers, no firefighters, no air traffic control," he said. "I'm sorry, my days of getting roped into all of this are over. We have the media play along with all of this, the ruling class of both parties play along all of this -- it's insulting. I don't know how else to describe it!"

It seems that Michelle Obama beat out Limbaugh when it comes to suggesting that she was ashamed of the country first. This was made obvious when she let the public know back in 2008, that for the “first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country.” According to the WizBang article headline, "Michelle Obama ashamed of her America her entire adult life" and it wasn’t until she made that speech in 2008 that she felt “proud.”

Sorry Rush, it looks like the First Lady had the corner on being ashamed of the country long before your declaration on Thursday.
