Rush Limbaugh ashamed of America, does he have a valid point?

Rush Limbaugh, the number one Conservative radio talk show host, political pundit, and up until now, proud American, has said that he is now “ashamed” of America, as FoxNews has also reported.

Limbaugh said during his show yesterday, Feb. 21, 2013,

“Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time in my life, I am ashamed of my country.

To be watching all of this, to be treated like this, to have our common sense and intelligence insulted the way it's being insulted? It just makes me ashamed. Seriously, man. Here we get worked up over $44 billion. That's the total amount of money that will not be spent that was scheduled to be spent this year. In truth, we're gonna spend more this year than we spent last year.”

What Limbaugh is talking about here is not so much that he is ashamed of the American Flag, our way of life, or our country in general, but our government, politics, and political motives. But, he is upset at the way that our government believes that we are just like stupid little kids that can be made a fool of by their big uncle, Uncle Sam!

Limbaugh has a valid point about his frustrations. Most Conservative thinking individuals are today more ticked off at government than ever before. Even during the Viet Nam war, a war with the most contentious American military involvement in history, Conservatives could grasp the ideas and ideals of the government. But not now. Why is that you ask?

Government here in the U.S. has become something of an Albatross around the neck of Americans. Those who believe in the validity of the U.S. Constitution are having fits because we have a president and Congress who seem to believe that they can do anything they want, and get away with it.

It is understood that we are all human, and humans are weak when it comes to wealth and fame. However, that is no excuse for those in our country who hold high office. Penalties should be harsher for those in high places who commit crimes against the citizenry of America. Regardless if the crime against the citizenry was financial, moral or other, the punishment needs to be harsher for these people.

Yes, Limbaugh was venting his frustrations as he does frequently, but he certainly hit the nail on the head.
