Rush’s show in Halifax, NS sold out within minutes, prompting the legendary Canuck prog-rockers to add another show.
According to a news release posted yesterday on Rush's official website, the Toronto power trio have confirmed a second show on Sunday, July 14 at Halifax’s Metro Dome, following the overwhelming response to the previously announced gig on Friday, July 12.
Rush frontman Geddy Lee thanked fans, writing, “We are thrilled that the good folks of Halifax have forgiven our long absence from their beautiful city and have decided to come out and celebrate with us!!”
Touring in continued support of their critically acclaimed studio album “Clockwork Angels,” the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are playing the maritime capitol for the first time in 26 years.
Tickets for the new show go on sale Sat., March 16 with seats priced between $81.50 - $136.50 at Evenko.ca and local venues.
Rush recently announced additional Canadian Clockwork Angels tour dates, including a headline appearance on July 8 at Ottawa Bluesfest.
Other Canadian stops include: July 6 in at Hamilton, ON at Copps Coliseum, July 24 in Calgary, AB at Scotiabank Saddledome and July 26 in Vancouver, BC at Rogers Arena.
Rush’s 2013 North American leg kicks off on April 23 in Austin, Texas at Frank Erwin Center.
