On a night the Calgary Roughnecks honoured Kaleb Toth, the Edmonton Rush marched into the Scotiabank Saddledome and recorded an impressive 18-13 win in National Lacrosse League action on Saturday night.
The Rush were led in scoring by veteran forward Ryan Ward of Victoria, British Columbia, who had two goals and eight assists. The Rush dominated the middle stanzas of the lacrosse game, where according to the National Lacrosse League website, outscored the Roughnecks 13-6.
With the win, the Rush move into a second place tie with the Roughnecks at 5-5, one full game back of the Western Division leading Washington Stealth.
Prior to the game, the Roughnecks paid tribute to one of their greatest players in franchise history. Kaleb Toth of Calgary received the "Forever a Roughneck" distinction in an emotional 10 minute ceremony.
The Roughnecks next play the Minnesota Swarm on Friday, March 8 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
