Mara Hoffman never strays far from her aesthetic. Regardless of current trends and what’s hot on the runway any given season, Mara Hoffman always produces a collection for the free-spirited wanderers. Maxi dresses, bold colors, and tribal-inspired prints usually make an appearance, and this season is no different.
But just because Hoffman sticks to what she does well, that’s not to say there isn’t anything new or exciting about her Spring 2014 collection. She may not rely on trends to create her designs, but she certainly finds new things to inspire her. This season, traditional Eastern cultures and religions influenced her prints. A fun, colorful evil eye print was used on an updated suit (a vest instead of a jacket) and a simple cut-out dress. Gorgeous, flowing dresses and caftans—a Mara Hoffman signature—complete the show.
