Hydration shouldn't have been a problem for the 56 people who ran in the Georgia Association of Water Professionals 5K July 15 in Savannah.
Striking a blow for the 50 and older crowd was Siamak Yari, 53, who finished first overall in 20:59, 7 seconds ahead of David King, 30. Jason Bodwell, 37, took third in 21:15.
Val O'Shield, 38, led the women with a time of 23;13, 30 seconds ahead of Becky Cummings, 35. Melissa Barron, 34, ran a 25:30 to round out the top three.
Mike Osborne, 46, placed first in the masters and fifth overall with a time of 21:36. Nancy Gonce, 51, paced the masters women in 26:17.
