The Jersey Shore Running Club held its Annual New Year’s Eve Twilight Run on December 31, 2012 in Lake Como, N.J.
The run started at 4 p.m. which was New Year’s somewhere in the world including Baghdad, Iraq.
Race Director Dan Napolitan of Wall, N.J. gave the runners instructions and detailed course directions as they lined up on the side of Bar Anticipation. Many of the runners were clad in outfits appropriate for the event with 2013 hats, glasses, shirts and more. Dan gave the start signal and the runners (including Dan) took off for a 2.6 mile run through Lake Como.
The runners returned back to the starting line for a spirited finish.
They then went inside to Bar Anticipation for a post run party and celebration of New Year’s again somewhere in the world at 5 p.m. Eastern Time which was New Year’s in Athens, Greece. The celebration continued on as New Year’s was celebrated at various countries around the world..
There were 210 finishers in the run. Lots of random prizes were given out and the runners had a sumptuous buffet and happy hour inside Bar A..
