Running for Animal Rescue

Almost Home Foundation

This Sunday, September 13, put your two legs and your pet's four paws together for a good cause.

The Almost Home Foundation, a wonderful non-profit animal rescue, is hosting a 5k run/1 mile dog walk to raise funds that will help save stray, abused, neglected, and kill shelter dogs and cats.

The event will include adoptions, contests, raffles and giveaways. The cost of late registration is $35 for either the run or walk, or $60 for both, and includes food and a free t-shirt. Click here to register

While leashed dogs are invited to participate in the dog walk, the run is for humans only. Dog play areas and handlers will be available to care for owners' pets while they work up a sweat.

Details:

500 Park Boulevard, Itasca, IL -  5K run at 9:00 a.m.  -  1 mile dog walk at 10:30 a.m

And hurry, registration ends on Saturday, Sept. 12th.
