With the holiday season just around the corner, many nine-to-fiver's are looking forward to a few long weekends as they celebrate the Yuletide season and ring in the new year. But, the Cincinnati running scene doesn't take any P.T.O. -- and if you want to stave off the holiday weight gain -- neither should you.
The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati Anniversary Race is Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. This 3.1-mile run/walk starts and ends at Holy Grail Tavern & Grille on the Banks (map).
The online registration fee is $15 for the general public and $12 for Runners' Club members (through 11/30). The race day registration fee is $20. Long-sleeved T-shirts are available for $10 based on availability.
A reception including food, music, awards, and prizes immediately follows the race.
The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati is a non-profit running club that meets twice a week at Tri-State Running Co. (map) and Miami Whitewater Forest (map). This group encourages novice and avid runners alike to join their trotting team. The Club sponsors races, parties, picnics, group runs, happy hours and other events for all Cincinnati runners.
Whether you are "dashing" for the holiday spirit or looking to start -- or finally begin -- that pesky New Year's Resolution, this race is the perfect excuse to warm up for a healthy cause.
