With the end of the busy spring racing season, Runner's World will kick off its Summer RWRunStreak on Memorial Day as a way to keep people inspired during the busy summer season filled with fun activities that will give you reason to skip your run.
The run streak will continue through July 4. During this time, runners are encouraged to commit to running at least one mile each day. Runner's World is hoping to inspire people to create healthy, sustainable running habits and keep them on track for their fall fitness goals.
New to this season's RWRunStreak is the opportunity to track your mileage using MapMyFitness. Here, you can track your mileage and share your thoughts on the streak with other streakers.
Runner's World also encourages participants to share their running results during this time on social media networks by using the hashtag "#RWRunStreak" during the 40-day challenge. It has also developed downloadable badges to show your commitment to the streak, which you can share on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and your blog.
