RuneScape players will receive four types of voyage from adventurers in their player owned port. The types of voyage are storyline voyage, trade goods voyages, port resource voyages, experience voyages, and forgotten scrolls voyages.
Each adventurer has a story line voyage for each region. The current story line voyage must be completed in order to unlock the next one. That means that it is possible to have gunpowder length or hook length story voyages while in the scythe, for example. All story voyages are comparable in length to normal voyages of that region.
Port resources voyages are also the normal length in time. They offer plentiful quantities of chimes and the commodity for the highest region unlocked. RuneScape players who are in need of the resources can complete these voyages at a higher rate of success than comparable voyages that will appear in the regular voyage queue.
Trade goods voyages are significantly longer in time, and offer the same amount of trade goods (one in hook, two in scythe, three in bowl, etc) as the missions in the regular rolls. However, they generally are easier to sail at higher percentages, as their requirements are usually lower than the requirements when they spawn as regular voyages.
Experience voyages sail for a tome of experience of the adventurer's skill. Depending on the skill, the RuneScape player's level in that skill, and the available special missions for that adventurer, sailing for experience may or may not be worth it.
