RuneScape players sailing for forgotten scrolls in player owned ports may be sailing in vain, due to a 'glitch' in obtaining scrolls.
RuneScape players affected with this glitch posted in the forums, and were able to figure out the cause.
When sailing for forgotten scrolls, the RuneScape player obtains one of four specific scrolls. What scroll is obtained is dependent on the scroll chosen by the RuneScape player before the voyage was embarked on.
The problem is, when all four scrolls are found, unless the RuneScape player switches the focus from that scroll to another scroll, the voyage will look for and find a nonexistent fifth scroll, thereby wasting the voyage.
To change selected scroll, simply open the port management interface from the top of the screen while in the port. This is the lower middle button, under crew and left of arch. map. Then click on the scroll you wish to seek. When the ship sets sail, it will sail for the selected scroll, even if it is changed mid voyage. Therefore, it is best to double check the selected scroll before setting sail.
