RuneScape player owned ports: Pincers region crew

RuneScape players who advance in Player owned ports have access to the highest crew in the Pincers region. The pincers region is the final region of the initial player owned ports release, so this will be the final crew.

Traveling band is the morale unit. It has a base of 1200 morale, and sometimes spawns with small inherent trait boosts as well as an occasional good or bad trait, just like all crew members. Ferocious tiger rider, using the symbol of the feral chimera, start out with 1,200 in the combat stat. Harem of fortune tellers starts with 1,200 seafaring.

These units cost 4,000 chimes and 600 steel each. Between the steeper cost and the rarity of them spawning in crew rolls (usually a couple per daily 15 crewmen) they are added slowly. A level five pincers crew has the same stats as a level eight bowl crewman.

Therefore, the best strategy is to buy then one at a time and use them as a fifth man in a pincers voyage. One voyage levels them to level three, 1,560 in their skill. A voyage in the scythe puts them at level two and 1,440.

Oxhead and horseface, the final pincers crewmember, is unlocked by traveling to the shambling lair. Upon succeeding this voyage, one will spawn on the next crew roll, and then rarely thereafter. Oxhead and horseface starts at 600 in morale, combat, and seafaring, making it the best crewman for three trait voyages and equal to pincers crew for two trait voyages.
