RuneScape players may upgrade their crew upon entering the bowl region. As trips in this region are longer in duration, jade is hard to come by. Therefore, hiring this crew will take longer.
Farcriers start with a bonus of 1,000 morale. Bounty hunters start with 1,000 combat. Sea dogs start with 1,000 seafaring. Unlike previous regions, these will actually start out lower than the stats of the crew from the previous region. As they will gain 100 per level, they will be comparable after a few voyages, assuming they level as the same clip as previous crews did.
Fireworks maniacs start with 2,500 speed. It may be better to expend cherrywood for the 2,000 speed crewman if speed is desired, to conserve jade.
Jade golem is a hybrid of combat and morale best used on split missions. Its base stats are 50 morale and 150 combat superior to feral chimeras, which become replaceable in this region as its crew is superior.
Jade merchant starts with 300 morale and grants 30% bonus on missions. Because it costs 450 jade, using merchants from the scythe for their 25% may be the smarter move here.
Sacrificial soothsayer is available for those wishing to increase likelihood of random events, and it starts out at 450 seafaring. This is comparable to a crewman from the hook region.
Unlike previous regions, the special unlock from Crescent Isle is Judge of Dice. Judge of dice is an upgrade of the bureaucrat, starting out at 450 in each skill. Unlike its predecessors, its base stats accumulate to be greater than that of a crewman. They also give 100 to each stat of each member, making them very valuable and potentially part of the final crew.
