Items needed for this part of love story quest are steel bar, mithril bar, and two oak planks. Armor, anti-dragon shield, and weapons should also be brought.
Break the teleport to house (chipped) tablet while standing next to the wise old man. If too far, the wise old man says to come closer. A cutscene of the house ensues.
The wise old man notes with alarm that the safety measures are disabled. Dying in this house means losing all but three items, being able to reclaim them at a gravestone that will respawn by the Rimmington portal. (Having one’s house in Rimmington may be a smart idea for fast return teleporting.)
Upon entrance to the house, it is revealed the only way to get to Zenevivia is through the cellar. Let the wise old man go first; he will trigger a trap, take damage, and heal himself.
The next task is to access the workshop and make a clockwork mechanism. Craft one at the clockmaker’s bench. Then talk to the wise old man. Craft the clockwork bench to automatically craft a mechanical dummy via a long scene.
