RuneScape players can gain a large amount of experience in their lowest skill and unlock more guthixian lore by catching butterflies in the RuneScape Easter event 2013. The March 12, 2013 release provides, for two weeks, a hunting activity that is similar in reward to tears of guthix.

RuneScape players can find the butterflies throughout the entire game. They can hunt them down actively or simply catch them as they see them. Each butterfly gives experience in the RuneScape player's lowest skill, varying in amount based on the skill level.
There are fifteen pieces of guthixian lore. These are unlocked randomly and can then be accessed.
RuneScape players receive experience for only the first 20 butterflies each day, and can unlock up to four pieces of lore each day. There are 15 pieces of lore in total.
