The holiday season isn't just about traffic, shopping and stress. It's about spreading cheer, time with loved ones and giving of yourself to others. Now you can spread a little Hawaiian cheer and charity while running in beautiful Mission Bay.

Take part in the Ohana 5K Run and Walk & Holiday Toy Drive on December 15 in Mission Bay. This family-friendly event is a perfect way to spend time together, burn some holiday calories and stress and help some local San Diego charities. Runners are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for the toy drive. In addition to your toy donations, some of the proceeds of the race will benefit the Salvation Army- Ray & Joan Kroc Center and the Ronald McDonald House.

Run or walk with your ohana - the Hawaiian word for 'family,' enjoy some hula and Tahitian performers and help others in our area have a wonderful holiday season. To learn more about the event, check out the race website.
