Brief Description

This 5K course takes you through stunning Washington Park, in the heart of our hometown of Denver, Colorado. Come enjoy the brisk spring air and help us raise funding and awareness for those suffering from spinal cord injury, and the benefit they receive from exercise based recovery programs. All proceeds from this event benefit the SCI Recovery Project and its clients. We will be joined by members of the Paraolympic Team! Be sure to catch a glimpse of these athletes in action!

Additional Information

This race directly benefits the SCI Recovery Project and its clients. The Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which helps individuals who have sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI) or related trauma. We provide and implement adaptive exercise training programs to maintain health and to help promote recovery. Termed an “exercise based recovery program”, our purpose is to offer hope, independence, and the possibility of recovery for SCI patients where previously there was none. While the benefits of programs like ours have begun to be recognized by the medical community, unfortunately insurance companies still do not. Our program relies upon tax –deductible donations for its success. For more information about our organization or to make a donation go to www.scirecoveryproject.com, email donations@scirecoveryproject.com, or call our facility at (303) 286-0918.
