“The Real Housewives of New York” premiere was anything but ordinary with Ramona Singer saying she would stab Aviva Drescher in the eye if she had a knife and then the duo sitting down and doing shots of tequila. But there are rumors that the show will be cancelled after the sixth season ends.
Rumors that “RHONY” will be cancelled started after season four ended, and according to a report from Rumor Fix on March 12, the rumors that “Real Housewives of New York” will be cancelled after season six are completely false.
Bravo may not cancel “RHONY”, but a casting shake-up could be in the works. In the past the executives had no problem firing Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop. Bravo added three new ladies, Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill and Aviva Drescher, for the sixth season of “The Real Housewives of New York. Unfortunately Countess LuAnn de Lesseps was demoted to “friend of the Housewives”.
Sonja Morgan told Rumor Fix that everyone on “RHONY” is happy and “I think we have a great time now.” It is highly unlikely that Bravo will cancel “The Real Housewives of New York” as it is one of Bravo’s most profitable shows. “RHONY” is syndicated in 138 countries.
