Rumors of Denarius Moore for possible trade by the Raiders

Rumor has it that Denarius Moore would be a good trade for the Oakland Raiders. After the signing of James Jones from the Green Bay Packers, the wide receivers in Oakland are anything but jammed up.

As reported by Rant Sports on Wednesday morning, Raiders beat writer Paul Gutierrez has written about Moore possibly being a good trading asset for the Raiders. Adding to the rumor that the Raiders could use Moore potential abilities to score on an offer that could fill up another whole needed to improve the team.

Moore who is young and super fast has to potential to be a top receiver in the league. However, his inconsistent performances in the last three years has put his potentiality in hiatus.

It is speculated that Denarius Moore has not had the chance to shine due to the fact that he has not played with a superb quarterback. Another reason is the fact that Moore has not played alongside a veteran like he will with James Jones, if he this rumor does not become reality.

The Raiders have plenty of young receivers that are potential starters. The Silver and Black will be packing with Rod Streater and Andre Holmes. Both of them fast and young just like Moore.

Moore came in second with stats out of the receiving team last season. Out of 46 receptions, Moore accumulated 695 yards with five touchdowns last year.

The rumor makes sense for the Raiders to try to give up a young, fast wide receiver with decent stats to patch up a hole somewhere else in the team, and the Raiders have quite a lot holes. To give up Streater who was the best receiver last season would not be a good idea, nor would giving up Andre Holmes who did spectacular despite playing less games due to a sanction.

It seems like the Oakland Raiders are making gutsy moves this off-season and Denarius Moore could be another. If so, let it be. The Raiders have plenty of receivers for next season, especially when they pick up another for the draft coming very soon.
