Rumors adrift on Red Lobster closing

See also

Social media is quickly reacting to rumors of Red Lobster closing. Facebook and Twitter have many posts including “Oh No!” from one poster and “Oh no, what will we do? No more “Robster” from another. But have no fear, for now. It seems the rumors of the seafood restaurant closing are actually based from word of a sell off or restructuring rather than a complete close.

According to ABC News 7 out of Chicago, the Darden Company, owners of red Lobster among other stores, said on Thursday that it is looking to either spin off or sell Red Lobster as part of its plan to boost value for its shareholders. This move appears to be coming as the economy is slowly reemerging but consumers aren't flocking to full service restaurants as they once were.

The Fredericksburg area Red Lobster is located at 3109 Spotsylvania Mall Drive and the phone is 540-786-1949. Red Lobster has over 700 restaurants in the United States and Canada. The restaurant is the biggest full service dining seafood restaurant in North America.
