The full "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U and 3DS roster may have been leaked. According to a report from My Nintendo News on Aug. 20, a few off-screen shots of the crossover fighting game have appeared online. The images supposedly showed off the full list of playable characters for the latest installment of the "Super Smash Bros." series.

The biggest surprise is Duck Hunt. Players will apparently control the dog from the classic video game although some of the attacks are also going to be assisted by the ducks as well. The inclusion may be odd at first but Nintendo has been adding similar unusual playable characters, such as Villager and Wii Fit Trainer, to "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U and 3DS.

The other newcomers are Bowser Jr. and Shulk. The latter came from "Xenoblade Chronicles" and was a part of another roster rumor earlier this year. Bowser Jr. came from the "Mario" franchise, including the "Mario Kart" spin-off series. In the crossover fighting game, he may be using his kart to move and attack his opponent.

The rumored "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U and 3DS roster also has some returning favorites. One of which is Dr. Mario, which may disappoint some fans who wanted the character slot to be used on someone else instead of a "clone" fighter who plays similarly to the original Mario. The other veteran is Ness, the protagonist of the "Earthbound" series who was featured in the prior three games of the "Super Smash Bros." series.

Nintendo should officially announce the rest of the playable characters for the video game later this month in an issue from the Coro Coro magazine. The publisher will then release "Super Smash Bros. 4" for 3DS on Oct. 3 before shipping "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U sometime later this holiday season in North America. A few other accessories, including Amiibo figures, for the console version should be coming out at the same time as well. An image featuring some members of the roster can be viewed near the top of this article (via the series' Facebook page).
