Taylor Armstrong, one of the original cast members of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” may be on her way out of the very popular reality show on Bravo. E! reported on Feb. 11 that Bravo is allegedly courting Rod Stewart’s wife, Penny Lancaster, to be the newest “RHOBH.”
None of the current ‘RHOBH’ cast members has received their “official pick-up” notices yet, but filming should begin in April. “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” ladies should know who is staying and who is going about three weeks before filming starts.
One source told E! that Armstrong is not aware that she is up for replacement. The source says that the producers of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” are putting out feelers and “looking at other options. They feel Taylor’s storyline has become too dark and they need to shake things up a bit.”
Armstrong’s husband Russell committed suicide in August 2011, and much of Taylor’s involvement in the show has centered on the “fallout” from her husband’s suicide, including several lawsuits filed against her for debts Russell Armstrong owed. Taylor even had to surrender her engagement ring to a company that was suing her. The company later sold the engagement ring on EBay.
Producers of “RHOBH” have approached “quite a few people,” including Rod Stewart’s current wife, Penny Lancaster, and a woman whose family owns Crustacean, a “swanky” L.A. seafood house. A source says, “There are also discussions about Faye Resnick coming on board as a full time member.”
Rumors have swirled that current ‘RHOBH’ Adrienne Maloof is dating Sean Stewart, son of Rod Stewart and ex-wife Alana Hamilton Stewart, but Sean denies any romance with Maloof. Adrienne, 52, whose marriage to Dr. Paul Nassif ended last year, is 20 years older than Sean Stewart.
