Some new details have popped up online in regards to the trainers in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS exclusive video games, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report by Leviathyn on Feb. 22, the male and female main characters will be called Jean and Jane. The names can’t be customized. Moreover, the trainer is displayed on the bottom screen of the Nintendo 3DS and will be giving commands using a “speech bubble interface” during battles. Finally, a new leveling system for the trainers will change how they will interact with non-playable characters, the success of capturing a Pokemon in addition to the encounter rate with rare creatures.
“Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” are currently in production at the Game Freak studio. The developer previously worked on the five previous generations of mainline video games in the series. Nintendo will be publishing the two titles when both products launches for the Nintendo 3DS system later this year in North America.
