Rumored 'Dead Rising 3' shows up on animation studio workers LinkedIn resume

It's been two years since "Dead Rising 2" made it's way to gamers hands. Since then the franchise has seen two downloadable titles released, "Dead Rising 2: Case Zero" and "Dead Rising 2: Case West". There's also a "Dead Rising 2: Off the Record" where you play through DR2 as Frank West.

However there's yet to be a fully fledged "Dead Rising 3", and there's yet to be even an announcement about the game. Surely Capcom hasn't given up on this franchise right?

The game that's not in development, "Dead Rising 3", showed up this morning on a LinkedIn resume. The game has been listed as a project worked on by a rigging supervisor from Blur Animation Studio. The person says they worked on a game cinematic for "Dead Rising 3."

There was a rumor a year ago, towards the end of 2011 that "Dead Rising 3" was in the works. The game was set to revolve around Rick, an auto mechanic in the city of Los Perdidos, California. The game would feature infected illegal citizens, a bomb ready to destroy the city and Rick's only hope of escape would be a defunct plane he would have to fix.

There's no doubt Capcom has something brewing for "Dead Rising 3", it could just be a matter of time before the game is announced. They could be also saving the game for the next generation of consoles, as "Dead Rising" helped the Xbox 360 way back when it first came out.
