As we all know, Microsoft intends to take over the living room with "TV...TV...TV...TV" service with the Xbox One. Sony remained focused on bringing out what gaming features the PlayStation 4 will offer the consumer.
Today, we are hearing a possibility of Sony offering their own Internet television service with the upcoming system, as it has been revealed they are negotiating with Viacom to make this happen. The service is said to feature "many of Viacom’s properties and channels, such as MTV and Nickelodeon, to stream through their newest console," by DualShockers.
While there is no official announcement from Sony about this said reveal, the details are very vague indicating that this would be launched early 2014. If this is the case, that would be only a few short months after the console's release.
It would make sense to have this type of announcement before the PS4 hits shelves. We will keep you posted as more information rolls in.
