In the last two months Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have been in the news for their separation that soon led to the “Real Housewives of New York City” star filing for divorce. However, according to reports by Radar Online on Friday, Jan. 11 Bethenny Frankel's pending divorce may be a publicity stunt.
It is rumored that Bethenny Frankel filed for divorce from Jason Hoppy after three years in order to promote her upcoming talk show.
Sources are also claiming that they wouldn't be shocked if Bethenny and Jason were back together soon. Comparing their relationship to that of NeNe and Gregg Leakes from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."
“It wouldn’t surprise anyone at all if Bethenny and Jason got back together, just like NeNe Lekes did with her husband, Greg, after she filed for divorce. Jason has been spotted still wearing his wedding ring, and there isn’t anything Bethenny wouldn’t do to keep her name in the press,” a source exclusively tells Radar.
The thought process behind the decision to create a publicity stunt out of "The Real Housewives of New York City" star's marriage and upcoming divorce according to sources is because the couple will have enough time to kiss and make nice before her talk show is scheduled to air this fall. The after effect would be positive press and a boost in ratings.
“Bethenny’s talk show is scheduled to appear until this fall, and she doesn’t have any other reality show to do in the meantime. If Jason and Bethenny did get back together, it would generate a ton of positive press, and certainly boost her ratings of the talk show,” the insider added.
However, during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Bethenny Frankel appeared sincere and clearly upset when she spoke about her failed relationship with Jason. Hopefully these are indeed just rumors. The idea that someone would file for divorce just to promote their job is ridiculous and a mockery of the sanctity of marriage.
Again, there is no truth other than an unnamed source to backup these rumors. Thus far Bethenny Frankel has appeared sincere while sharing her feelings regarding her upcoming divorce. Bethenny even took to Twitter to thank her fans who showed their support for her during this emotional time in her life.
