When Disney announced it had purchased Lucasfilm, “Star Wars” fans were excited and curious. So many questions and so few answers were available. Now, according to a Feb. 15 report on Paste Magazine, questions about Han Solo and Harrison Ford may be answered.
Unofficially, word is going around that Harrison Ford has agreed to reprise his role as Han Solo for “Star Wars: Episode 7.” The announcement may not be a huge surprise as Ford has already made it publicly known that he would be willing to take to the galaxies far, far away. This leads many to believe the arc of the storyline will go forward from the first trilogy.
Naturally, with a rumor like this, it spawns even more questions about what other high-profile characters and the actors who played them might be returning. With the announcement of J. J. Abrams at the helm of SW7, the rumors are likely to be flying in the near future.
Disney Pictures has yet to comment on the announcement one way or the other. If the rumor were not true, they would likely be making a statement rather quickly. Let’s hope their silence means the rumor is true. Who doesn’t want to see Han Solo back in action?
