'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer' - promotes bullying and should be banished?

“Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” is the latest old-fashioned Christmas tradition that’s under fire today, according to “Fox and Friends.”  According to what’s brought to the media’s attention today, many things that come from an old-fashioned Christmas and is called tradition is just not politically correct, even using the word “Christmas” is targeted.

The latest criticism is towards the animated “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” Christmas program that’s donned the TV sets for decades around the holidays. Today's concern is that it is teaching bullying. It starts with Rudolph’s own father bullying him and then it moves on to the other baby reindeers in the pack.  One psychologist is calling for the show to be pulled from TV, but most of the emails  that poured into “Fox and Friends” this morning didn’t see “Rudolph” as any threat.

What about the message that Rudolph rises above all this and becomes a hero? This is just one more venue coming out of the Christmas holidays that now parents can feel guilty about letting their children watch. Needless to say Steve, Gretchen and Brian on the “Fox and Friends” Monday show didn’t put much stock in this newest claim. It doesn’t sound like they will be pulling “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” from their family’s Christmas line-up anytime soon!
