World renowned pianist Rudolf Pelaez Gomez will share his extraordinary skills at Old Dominion University on March 25, 2014.
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) victims from November 2013 in central Philippines, particularly in the city of Tacloban.
The show is titled “Music Inspired by Woman” and a Luminary will be specifically showcased for the “Give Light, Improve Life” solar light program of “One Heart for Hope Foundation”.

A reception at 6:00 pm will be held prior to the performance at 7:30 in Chandler Recital Hall, F. Ludwigh Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center (Corner of 49th Street and Elkhorn Avenue). Minimum donation is $15.00
Gomez is from Cagayan de Oro (Sister City with Norfolk Sister Cities Association) and his prodigious skills, commencing as a four year old, would take him to Juilliard in New York City at the age of 13. He would study with Seymour Lipkin and then matriculate to Graz, Austria and then University of Philippines (Diliman) where he would earn a Master in Music Piano Performance.
Gomez has been featured with “Filipino Young Artist Series”, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and the Manila Symphony Orchestra. His solo conciertos are a plethora of classical and contemporary periods of piano.
He is currently the Vice-President for External and Cultural Affairs of Liceo de Cagayan University and he teaches at the Philippine Women’s University and Cebu Normal University (http://rudolfgolez.weebly.com/bio.html)
