Rubio’s San Diego Beach Party & Cleanup for World Ocean’s Day

Counting the sea as a source of inspiration for more than 30 years, Rubio’s is dedicated to ensuring that it does its part to “Stand Up for the Ocean.” In honor of World Oceans Day (June 8), Rubio’s launched a month-long celebration, including a school poster contest, a Share Your Story Facebook contest, support of the Surfrider Foundation’s San Diego Chapter, and a reusable tote bag giveaway. The celebration will culminate June 9 with a beach party and cleanup in Rubio’s hometown of San Diego.

Fans, supporters, friends and community members alike are invited to come out for a day of beach-side fun and festivities with Rubio’s co-founder Ralph Rubio. The party will include complimentary surf lessons, bocce ball tournaments, sand castle building contests, face painting and badminton. The Rubio’s taco truck will also be hitting the beach to offer party goers fan-favorite tacos, including The Original Fish Taco®, Salsa Verde Pan-Seared Shrimp Taco, and the Grilled Chicken Taco.

The beach cleanup will commence at the end of the party where the Rubio’s team and any interested party goers will take trash bags and supplies to clean up the beach, ensuring no trash is left behind.
