Rubinia Soulsinger is one of several "Magic: The Gathering" cards reprinted in the "Evasive Maneuvers" deck from "Commander (2013 Edition)." Originally printed in "Legends" and reprinted in "Chronicles," this marks the first time Rubinia Soulsinger has been available in the modern card frame, and has received some sexy new art too.

"Take up the quill, and feel your future flow into the runes."
Rubinia Soulsinger allows you to effectively Control Magic one of your opponent's scary threats, such as that Baleful Force, so you can be the one gaining card advantage instead. One fun thing to do is take creatures like Terra Ravager that you know another player can kill with a blocker so that you're effectively destroying another one of your rival's threats.
Of course, Rubinia Soulsinger isn't without its drawback. With a small toughness of two it's going to be hard keeping her alive on the battlefield. From Toxic Deluge to Lightning Strike, there's a ton of removal out there waiting to just hit this commander. You'll want to protect her with Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves.
It's important to note that Rubinia Soulsinger's creature type has been updated since its original printing in "Legends" to be a Faerie.
