A "Rubicon" actor has died. Christopher Evan Welch is dead at the age of 48. Although the actor was best known for his role on "Rubicon," he also appeared on such television shows as "The Good Wife" and "The Sopranos."
According to a Dec. 11, 2013 report by The Huffington Post, the "Rubicon" actor died in Santa Monica earlier this month. Welch had been diagnosed with lung cancer, and he passed away on December 2. His family announced the sad news of his passing in a statement on Wednesday.
The "Rubicon" actor who died was an award winner. He was given the Obie award in 2000 for his role in the play "A Streetcar Named Desire." The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) lists his notable works as "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" and "War of the Worlds."
Welch leaves behind his wife Emma and their daughter Julie Harper, a sister, a brother and both his parents.
Some earlier reports apparently reported in error that Christopher Welch, a younger voice actor with a similar name, had died. However, it is now known that the "Rubicon" actor has died, not voice actor Christopher Welch.
