The Beatles "Rubber Soul" album -- and both the American and British versions of it -- has always been a hot topic. For one, many American fans consider the U.S. track listing superior to the British one.
And for another, the album itself marked an important period for the Beatles themselves and a transition to a more serious period of Beatles music.

A Hard Day's Night Is A Great Record Too!1 year ago
I have always loved the *American* version of Rubber Soul much better and I wore out my needle on my old turn table listening to this great true *folk rock* album when I was a teenager.I was only 6 mo*nths old when the album came out. If I had known in 1987(that is when The Beatles CD's first came out on CD and I bought them) that the record companies were never going to put this version on CD I would never have gotten rid of all of my old vinyl Beatles records and my turn table! I have waited for 23 years for the American version to hopefully come out on CD and I was very disappointed when it wasn't when the remasters came out last year!
But I don't like it when people claim Rubber Soul and Revolver is when The Beatles got serious, the great album A Hard Day's Night isn't chopped liver you know! Paul's Can't Buy Me Love is still a great rocker, and his acoustic songs,And I Love Her and Things We Said Today are beautiful too.John's You Can't Do That is a great rocker,I like When I Get Home and Any Time At All,and his acustic song,I'll Be Back is *so* gorgeous,John's typical beautiful voice and singing, typical beautiful melodies and harmonies, and gorgeous acustic guitar chords beautifully played and arranged! I can listen to this song a zillion times in a row and still want to hear it again!
Don't Forget, The Beatles Capitol Albums Box Sets From 2004 and 2006. The American Rubber Soul Is On Capitol Years, Vol. 2 In Pretty Good Sound Quality. Mono And Stereo On One C.D. This Was A Legit Release On Capitol Records. If You Can't Get One At Your Local Record Store, There's Always Amazon Or Ebay.

I made a mistake,I was actually only 6 months old when Rubber Soul was recorded and 8 months old when it came out. And I forgot to mention John's beautiful If I Fell on A Hard Day's Night too.
