Aside from celebrating Halloween, October is officially breast cancer awareness month.
To help spread mindfulness about the cause, Shoeicide.com is hosting a networking party to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
The event itself comes with a very creative concept. Dubbed “Urban Tea,” attendees will be given the opportunity to ‘spill the tea’ on their own experiences with breast cancer within their community.
And it has a cosplay element: The invite ditches all traditional dress code asking attendees to dress "Kentucky Derby chic.” Translation: Wear the biggest, most gaudiest hat EVER.
One lucky participant will walk away with a gift bag that includes human hair extensions, shoes from Shoeicide.com, cosmetics, gift certificates for a complimentary manicure and pedicure, and clothing from Boutique on the Go.
Participants are encouraged to bring a sharing attitude and multiple forms of payments for the evening’s silent auction.
Admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
Since 2011, Shoeicide.com has donated over $800 towards breast cancer awareness.
