The gamestore Games Plus will be a busy location next week with two events of interest. This coming Saturday (Nov 7th), they are hosting a Boardgame Day. If you've been looking for a reason to go visit Games Plus and bring your kids to have some fun - this is a great day to do it! A week from this Saturday, on November 14th, they are hosting ENWorld Gameday 24. This is an all day RPG/gaming extravaganza with many different games scheduled:
- Don't Rest Your Head
- D&D 3E and 4E games
- Warhammer Fantasy
- Star Wars Saga
Be sure to check those events out.
Gamer's Asylum appears to be the only gamestore in town with an event on their calendar for the upcoming Worldwide D&D Game Day - Weekend in the Realms on Sunday, November 8th. The Game Day will feature a special adventure and you can bring your existing 1st - 4th level Forgotten Realms character to participate. If you don't have a character, you can roll one up at the game, or use a pre-gen.

Knockspell #3, the unashamedly old-school D&D magazine published by Mythmere Games was released and is now available in print and PDF from the new Swords & Wizardry distributor, Black Blade Publishing. The art cover alone is amazing and the magazine has gotten some rave reviews already.
Wizards of the Coast has an article up about upcoming releases in November and later for the D&D line: Draconomicon - Metallic Dragons, Monster Manual - Savage Encounters and more.
