Acupuncture
Since making its way to the West, this traditional Chinese medicine has quickly become one of the fastest growing alternative therapies and is often used to complement the benefits of conventional medicine. By stimulating key points on the body, acupuncture seeks to restore your vital energy, which can relieve pain or treat various conditions without the use of medicine or surgery. After your initial consultation, youʼll be guided through a series of relaxation techniques to ensure that your mind and body are completely relaxed for your treatment.
Bathing Rituals*
Strategically placed hydrotherapy jets will massage you from the soles of your feet to your neck. Simply sink into the bubbling warmth and let the water cleanse and soothe both mind and body. Baths options include:
• Enriching Milk Bath, uses the properties of natural milk whey. Excellent for dry skin.
• Exotic Jasmine Bath is a sweet, sensuous bath infused with ylang-ylang, Indian jasmine and vanilla.
• Warming Ocean Bath helps soothe sore muscles and stiff joints.
• Detox Ocean Bath is a special aromatic blend that encourages toxins to leave the body.
Exotic Rasul*
Organic muds are applied to the body, while the effects of a gentle steam, infused with herbs, opens up the breathing, soothes the skin, detoxifies the body and revitalizes the Chʼi. To complete the ritual, a warm tropical rain pours down from the rasul dome. Any remaining tension is washed away with the muds.
Thermal Suite*
The Thermal Suite is a communal relaxation center that is similar to a Turkish Bath. Different grottos and chambers release a variety of dry heat, steam and mists into the air with aromatherapy-filled vapors. Thereʼs even a Rasul room; a private steam and shower room, which couples can book to spend an hour lathering each other in exfoliating lotions, mud masks and moisturizers.
The Solariumʼs outdoor adults-only pool area nestles behind the spa. The lounges are outfitted with cushy, blue cushions. The pool is flanked by two larger whirlpools. (Several areas feature unique cantilevered whirlpools, extending 13 feet beyond the side of the ship for a unique over-the-ocean perspective.) The adjacent bar serves up Power Smoothies in addition to sodas, beer and cocktails.Youʼre surrounded by fountains, foliage and statues.
